commit sha d8dfe077c53ac2d463b99819207a9175dbfe4efc

Fix build with -no-common While here make the substitution of %%PREFIX%% operational (again?). It has probably been lost due to make makepatch generating patch files after the substitution by the actual prefix has been performed in the post-patch target. To prevent this issue in the future, the substitution of %%PREFIX%% by the actual prefix is moved in to the post-configure phase, since the configure command does not rely on the substitution having been performed.

Fix build with -fno-common While this makes the build process proceed past the point where the it previously failed with -fno-common, it still fails later in the examples. There is a comment in a README file that mentions BUILD_EXAMPLES_FROM_TREE, but I could not find any actual reference to that parameter outside the README file and the build failed with and without it set. This commit is meant to document the changes require due to -no-common and I leave the fix required in lttng-ust-2.9.0/doc/examples/gen-tp for a later time or another committer. The PORTREVISION is not bumped, since the build still fails for me.

Makefile.inc1: - New file. Adds logic to search for the git binary, as well as determining the branch and revision, used in various places. Makefile: - Remove searching for the svn{,lite} binary. Makefile.ec2: - Reduce duplicated code, removing searching for the svn{,lite} binary, in addition to EC2_SVN{BRANCH,REV}. - Rename EC2_SVN* with GIT* for consistency. Makefile.mirrors: - Remove the SRCBRANCH declaration, replaced with the exported GITBRANCH variable. - Update _SNAP_SUFFIX from SVNREVISION to GITREV, and remove the leading 'r' from it, since it will break git hashes. - Remove yet another instance of duplicated code to search for the svn{,version}lite binary. commit sha 431bede33c5da4d6c0d05bcaf901d9bbd3ac0d23

Update to 1.66 As of this release, the package now updates files which were previously updated by the app. In keeping with not having modified files within WWWDIR, the following files are now supplied by the package and are created at the same time the vendor tarball is manually created. The files in question are located in * bootstrap/cache * html/js/lang These files should now be static and not modified by the application, which would create them if not found. These files will get updated with each new release.

commit sha a74323efe6f41d2ab63f8078e8c38fdc5648aadc

zfs: fix EIO accessing dataset after resuming interrupted receive ZFS unmounts a dataset while receiving into it and remounts it afterwards. But if ZFS is resuming an incomplete receive, it screws up and ends up with a dataset that is mounted, but returns EIO for every access. This commit fixes that condition. While the vulnerable code also exists in OpenZFS, the problem is not reproducible there. Apparently OpenZFS doesn't unmount the destination dataset during receive, like FreeBSD does. commit sha c8e00be6d9c239f11ec313d85b334e5d6e527e6c

Reapply r230021, r276851 and a few other commits to compiler-rt Reapply r230021 (by ed): Add a workaround to prevent endless recursion in compiler-rt. SPARC and MIPS CPUs don't have special instructions to count leading/trailing zeroes. The compiler-rt library provides fallback rountines for these. The 64-bit routines, __clzdi2 and __ctzdi2, are implemented as simple wrappers around the compiler built-in __builtin_clz(), assuming these will expand to either 32-bit CPU instructions or calls to __clzsi2 and __ctzsi2. Unfortunately, our GCC 4.2 probably thinks that because the operand is stored in a 64-bit register, it might just be a better idea to invoke its 64-bit equivalent, simply resulting into endless recursion. Fix this by defining __builtin_clz and __builtin_ctz to __clzsi2 and __ctzsi2 explicitly. Reapply r276851: Update compiler-rt to trunk r224034. This brings a number of new builtins, and also the various sanitizers. Support for these will be added in a later commit.

commit sha 96488f853e8694ebecd8cb5cb4f9c5558ae09dc9

Reapply r310365 (by emaste): libunwind: make __{de,}register_frame compatible with libgcc API The libgcc __register_frame and __deregister_frame functions take a pointer to a set of FDE/CIEs, terminated by an entry where length is 0. In Apple's libunwind implementation the pointer is taken to be to a single FDE. I suspect this was just an Apple bug, compensated by Apple- specific code in LLVM. See lib/ExecutionEngine/RuntimeDyld/RTDyldMemoryManager.cpp and http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2013-April/061737.html for more detail. This change is based on the LLVM RTDyldMemoryManager.cpp. It should later be changed to be alignment-safe. commit sha 7bdd84795e1670b091e2c10baa71bd3995b37bdf

Reapply r343111 (partially, by mckusick): Create new EINTEGRITY error with message "Integrity check failed". An integrity check such as a check-hash or a cross-correlation failed. The integrity error falls between EINVAL that identifies errors in parameters to a system call and EIO that identifies errors with the underlying storage media. EINTEGRITY is typically raised by intermediate kernel layers such as a filesystem or an in-kernel GEOM subsystem when they detect inconsistencies. Uses include allowing the mount(8) command to return a different exit value to automate the running of fsck(8) during a system boot. These changes make no use of the new error, they just add it. Later commits will be made for the use of the new error number and it will be added to additional manual pages as appropriate. commit sha ad6485fff98746b114e1029e5f7d1805adf8d71f

Reapply r349876: Apply a workaround to be able to build clang 8.0.0 headers with clang 3.4.1, which is still in the stable/10 branch. It looks like clang 3.4.1 implements static_asserts by instantiating a temporary static object, and if those are in an anonymous union, it results in "error: anonymous union can only contain non-static data members". To work around this implementation limitation, move the static_asserts in question out of the anonymous unions. This should make building the latest stable/11 from stable/10 possible again. Reapply revision 542851 that broke the index via an interaction with emulators/i386-wine-devel and was reverted, now with a tweak to avoid that breakage: The Wine Staging patchset for Wine 5.13 is now available and fixed (compared to the previous one). It also addresses the build issue for Wine 5.13 that I fixed via files/patch-dlls-ntdll-unix-registry.c, so we need to make that patch only apply when the Wine Staging patchset is not used. commit sha cb8d63ad54ee3a96421d7dec8fddf464d82e9da5

vfs: lockless lookup Provides full scalability as long as all visited filesystems support the lookup and terminal vnodes are different. Inner workings are explained in the comment above cache_fplookup. Capabilities and fd-relative lookups are not supported and will result in immediate fallback to regular code. Symlinks, ".." in the path, mount points without support for lockless lookup and mismatched counters will result in an attempt to get a reference to the directory vnode and continue in regular lookup. If this fails, the entire operation is aborted and regular lookup starts from scratch. However, care is taken that data is not copied again from userspace. Sample benchmark: incremental -j 104 bzImage on tmpfs: before: 142.96s user 1025.63s system 4924% cpu 23.731 total after: 147.36s user 313.40s system 3216% cpu 14.326 total Sample microbenchmark: access calls to separate files in /tmpfs, 104 workers, ops/s: before: 2165816 after: 151216530 Reviewed by: kib Tested by: pho (in a patchset) Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D25578

Allow swi_sched() to be called from NMI context. For purposes of handling hardware error reported via NMIs I need a way to escape NMI context, being too restrictive to do something significant. To do it this change introduces new swi_sched() flag SWI_FROMNMI, making it careful about used KPIs. On platforms allowing IPI sending from NMI context (x86 for now) it immediately wakes clk_intr_event via new IPI_SWI, otherwise it works just like SWI_DELAY. To handle the delayed SWIs this patch calls clk_intr_event on every hardclock() tick. MFC after: 2 weeks Sponsored by: iXsystems, Inc. Differential Revision: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D25754

Fix an overflow bug in the blist allocator that needlessly capped max swap size by dividing a value, which was always a multiple of 64, by 64. Remove the code that reduced max swap size down to that cap. Eliminate the distinction between BLIST_BMAP_RADIX and BLIST_META_RADIX. Call them both BLIST_RADIX.
