issue closedhaskell/vscode-haskell

When renaming opened file at least once in a session, an error occurs.

There is an issue related to renaming a file:

Got error while processing diagnostics: <no location info>: error: module ‘main:Test2’ is defined in multiple files: /private/var/folders/y5/4zz305fn1qjcf24fk0p9dz3h0000gn/T/ghc-mod3195/test-renamed3194-1.hs /private/var/folders/y5/4zz305fn1qjcf24fk0p9dz3h0000gn/T/ghc-mod3195/test3194-0.hs
  • When you rename a .hs file opened at least once in a vscode session, or a .hs file opened currently, an error occurs.
  • When you rename a .hs file, which is not opened once in current vscode session and is not opened currently, through sidebar(Right click file - Rename), it seems to work correctly. But when you rename the file again in same vscode session, while not opening the file, you will also see this error.

This is the vscode log with setting "languageServerHaskell.trace.server": "verbose" following(Because, the default option for this doesn't log anything):

# For this time, i started a vscode process and just opened a file(`test.hs`) and didn't anything.

To fix this error, i have to restart vscode entirely. Reopening the file has no effect on error. Also, when you even open other irrelevant files, the error message still appears.

Edit:

Is this duplicated with https://github.com/haskell/haskell-ide-engine/issues/680 (Vigilans's comment) ? Do i need to close this issue?
