Monitoring V_IN in graph Window

Extra units are already supported in DWC, they may be specified using squared brackets in the sensor name, e.g. "DHT Humidity [%]" or in a future case "Input voltage [V]". However secondary Y axes in the temperature chart are not supported yet.

Pinecil is available but....

Hmmm. Power supplies are usually 12v, 24v so with 24v we are already on the limit? I can already smell burned mosfets and see candle lights :)

Pinecil is available but....

@Firebie Wiki page got updated with real production schematics and note "Recommend operating voltage 12-21V, maximum rating at 24V". Still not an issue they say, and no investigation or revision planned. Community discussion available on #pinecil channel at discord or another bridged chat service.

Implement flashing PanelDue v3 from Duet mainboards

The wiki has already been updated and DWC should support auto-renaming as well as asking to update with the next release.

Implement flashing PanelDue v3 from Duet mainboards

Thank you, this is really great!!!

I'll update the wiki with the necessary command and filename but here's 2 suggestions:

1)Verify the bin file exists before erasing the PanelDue?

02/12/2020, 14:58:24 | M997 S4 Sending Erase-and-Reset command to PanelDue 02/12/2020, 14:58:25 | Establishing connection to PanelDue bootloader 02/12/2020, 14:58:25 | Unlocking PanelDue flash memory Erasing PanelDue flash memory 02/12/2020, 14:58:27 | Error: Failed to open file 0:/sys/PanelDueFirmware.bin Error: Flashing PanelDue failed in step bossaWrite. Please try again.

After uploading the file without resetting the PanelDue I was able to upgrade it but the restart did not occur, I had to do it manually: 02/12/2020, 15:00:28 | Restarting PanelDue

I'm going to test with another PanelDue on another printer with the correct steps in place, like having the .bin uploaded :)

  1. As with other firmware files, recognize the file and prompt the user to upgrade firmware without the need for the manual M997 S4 command?

Monitoring V_IN in graph Window

It would also be necessary for DWC to understand that it is displaying units other than temperature, so that it can display an additional Y axis. If a 24V VIN was displayed on the same scale as the temperatures, you wouldn't see the fluctuations.

The best will be a second graph for VIN

In marlin compatibility, missing' \n' after "OK" response when M20 command is used.

PanelDue does not require a terminating \n so it is omitted from most responses. If you put the aux port into raw mode using M575 (only available in recent RRF3 versions) then the \n should be present.

Add mirror from face features (with example now fixed)

Thanks for the fix, I would have missed the .toDir() function. I think my point still stands that Workplane needs to be added to the mypy type union to get rid of those errors.

Sending M20 from panelDUE found the problem, I tested the usb port and it is working.

Enhancements for Assemblies

Re topic 1.3: I found the new Assembly tutorial in the docs and the approach to tag holes works very well, so let's ignore 1.3 as being resolved with standard CadQuery selectors

The only issue I had was that for

thickness = 2
height = 40
width = 65
diam = 4
tol = 0.05

l1, l2 = 50, 80
pts = [( 0,  0), ( 0, height/2), (l1, height/2 - 5), (l2, 0)]
upper_leg_hole = (l2 - 10, 0)

upper_leg = (cq.Workplane()
    .polyline(pts).mirrorX()
    .pushPoints([upper_leg_hole]).circle(diam/2 + tol).extrude(thickness)
    .edges("|Z and (not <X)").fillet(4)
)
upper_leg.faces(">Z").edges("%Circle")

image

I did not find a way to select the circle: upper_leg.faces(">Z").edges("%Circle").edges(">X[...]") lead to an list index out of range error for any value of .... So I had to use cq.NearestToPointSelector(upper_leg_hole). Is this a bug or do I use it the wrong way?

Thanks. That sounds good to me!

If it seems relatively complete, maybe the only thing left was to actually test it, and submit the PR :sweat_smile:

Sure, I'd be happy to do some work on this if I can find the time. Honestly, I'm not sure what more beyond your WIP would need to be added either (maybe just messing around with it to see usability), but I'll see what I can do.

Hope everything's ok with you!

TS100 strange sound under OLED screen

This is a [Question]

  • I have

    • [x] Searched previous issues
    • [x] This is in this firmware, not vendor "offical" firmware
    • [x] This is not a bug in the vendor bootloader (aka DFU)
    • [x] I have checked this is not already covered in the docs in /Documentation
  • What is the current behavior?

On firmware 2.11, when iron is turned on and heated up, I can hear a clicking sound (like clock, but faster) under OLED display. On firmware 2.05 I can hear the same sound, but it is more like buzzing(maybe higher frequency).

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Turn on...
  • Heat it up and listen closely to OLED display.
  • What are you running:

    • Firmware Version: 2.11.372F8E3
    • PCB Version: 2
    • Power Supply (Voltage and Current Rating) : 24V 3A

Looking up at Google, I only found similar behavior here: https://github.com/Ralim/ts100/issues/628

So my question is: is it normal behavior or something is wrong with my soldering iron?
