Hi, I made the modifications but had to export TARGET_ARCH from src/configure as ARCH as the variable TARGET_ARCH is already used in LINK.o in src/makefiles/default_rules.mk although I am not sure where it

is exported from.

I also removed the pthread flag when compiling to WASM and using CLAPACK

as pthreads are not widely supported by web browsers yet (see emscripten

doc https://emscripten.org/docs/porting/pthreads.html and also because

the build to WASM currently fails when the flag is set.

With these changes, the build of Kaldi to WASM is successful on my machine. However, there are additional steps to build to WASM from scratch. More specifically:

  • openfst needs do be compiled to WASM. This step requires one make command and to disable the availability check of zlib in tools/extras/check_dependencies.sh 😖
  • CLAPACK compiled to WASM. I am not sure if ATLAS or OpenBLAS would compile as easily/without changes.

Do you think the current support to build to WASM is sufficient or would

you also include the build of openfst and clapack to WASM as well?

The second link shows most up-to-date data up to OS 10.11, which is #6 https://github.com/kaldi-asr/kaldi/pull/6 in the order of seniority at the first link. Now I'm confused how to reconcile “three "releases" old at most” in your comment about the second link, which shows data for the sixth latest and earlier releases. How do you define a "release" then?

That is not the normal log, it's a log file where the queue output goes. Why not read queue.pl?
It could be a problem with your umask or something. You need to undertsand UNIX permissions to solve it. At the very least, ls -l that directory. Ask someone local who knows about UNIX.

but: make sctk/.compiled has error in the above.

if mac has error, can modify: tar zxvf sctk-20159b5.tar.gz

I think the variable ”JOB“ not get the value from ”1:2“,the right out log should be ”test.1.log,test.2.log“ but not "test.log" anyone can help me? or met same problem?
