How can we make the package more popular?

Yes, the Goto behaviour was also a pet peeve of mine. Unfortunately it still doesn't work for attribute constants. I think it's a bug in ST, because in Ruby it doesn't work either but it seems to work in other languages.

@azizk I'm just passing through, but thought I should mention that that sounds like it's due to the scopes in question falling outside of the whitelists shipped inside ST's Default package:

  • Default/Symbol List.tmPreferences
  • Default/Indexed Symbol List.tmPreferences
  • Default/Indexed Reference List.tmPreferences

(You can see the content of those files by using the View Package File command in the Command Palette and then searching for those paths)

You can ship your own such files in the Elixir package and hook up additional scopes to be eligible for:

  • In-file Goto Definition
  • Cross-file Goto Definition
  • Cross-file Goto References

...respectively.

More info on that file format here: https://docs.sublimetext.io/reference/symbols.html

Which mg does Apple ship?

Hi there - I notice that Apple is now shipping mg (whether it's part of the base MacOS install, or part of their optional "Command Line Tools for Xcode" package, I'm not sure, as I've already installed the latter on my machine).

I'm wondering which mg codebase they're using, and went looking at https://opensource.apple.com , but could not find any trace of mg.

Do you know what the deal is?

pyray type stubs and mypy

Alright - yeah, it's probably not worth going forward with it if it's more comment-like information.

IMO there is indeed something ridiculous about typed Python, but that is the fact that it gives no benefit to runtime performance. The checking Mypy is capable of is rigorous and isn't just a wishy-washy linter type thing. If you write Python project fully annotated (they can be inline, needn't be separate stubs) then you have a significantly better static type system at your disposal than Go for example.

pyray type stubs and mypy

Hi there - Firstly I'm not sure if the type stubs for pyray are supposed to be public yet (since the .pyi file was just added recently), so forgive me if I'm jumping the gun.

But from a package user perspective it seems these types aren't accessible for type-checking and won't be unless you add a py.typed file and possibly the zip_safe=False thing that are both mentioned here:

When installed as a "tool", could the SLF4J annoyance be taken care of automatically?

Thank you for the explanation. I suspected that maybe a 2nd repository would be required, and I agree that's too much hassle!

@frou I've been looking for the way to avoid annoying message, but haven't found it yet.

As a "library", I don't want to have org.slf4j/slf4j-nop by default, because it effets user side project.

As a "tool", I want to have org.slf4j/slf4j-nop, but currently I cannot specify which aliases to use when installing as "tool".

https://github.com/liquidz/antq/blob/e459ce567edb20ecb3d28f6e2a9df48b3e6a4acb/deps.edn#L13-L14 https://github.com/liquidz/antq/blob/e459ce567edb20ecb3d28f6e2a9df48b3e6a4acb/deps.edn#L26-L27 For "tool", I can create another repository which provides both of antq and slf4j-nop, but I don't want to do this as much as possible because of the extra operational costs.

So If Clojure CLI supports specifying aliases for tool installation, I'd like to deal with it then.

If you have any ideas, PR is very welcomed!

https://github.com/liquidz/antq/blob/main/doc/avoid-slf4j-warnings.adoc

Clojure describes tools as:

The Clojure CLI supports the idea of running tools, which are programs that don’t use the project classpath, with the -T exec option. Tools are often (but not exclusively) external, defined with their own dependencies.

So could the antq "tool" be changed to automatically have the org.slf4j/slf4j-nop dependency, without affecting the user's project?

I used the one I applied for, and no more than one hundred projects would be oversubscribed.

If using "title_filter", the quota usage should hopefully be reduced by b7d4db47ca66d81b829c9a7a71710a96c40f729a

Also, setting "check_interval_minutes" to a higher number will obviously reduce quota usage too.
