Add pod ip and node column in Pods table

The pod IP is a very useful information. It would be nice to have it in the pod overview tab.

App crash at /pods: Cannot read property 'includes' of undefined

I have upgraded my LENS to 5.2.0-latest.20210908.1, no crash occurred yet.

In case of crash, I will try to reproduce it with set DEBUG=true and attach the information into this issue.

Add progress information for update installation as well as update item into the dropdown menu

I think that you should consider adding an "Update" item (button) into this dropdown menu (see image), which would trigger the update process as it is usually done in almost every other application (the user has the ability to start the update process instead of waiting for the update prompt on next day).

image

Yes, it would be great to have a progress bar.

Pod log lines overlap

Describe the bug Pod log lines are overlapping - incorrectly displayed.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open an added cluster
  2. Expand "Workloads"
  3. Select "Pods"
  4. Click on a running pod
  5. Select "Pod Logs"
  6. You will see the logs that are incorrectly rendered.

Expected behavior The log lines should not be overlapped.

Screenshots image

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Lens: 5.1.3-latest.20210722.1
  • Electron: 9.4.4
  • Chrome: 83.0.4103.122
  • Node: 12.14.1
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro
  • Installation method: Installed via downloaded binary (.exe) from https://k8slens.dev/

Additional context The problem can be avoided by enabling the "Show timestamp" in the pod logs. The pod logs with timestamp does not include overlapped lines. image

Add progress information for update installation as well as update item into the dropdown menu

What would you like to be added:

  1. A new item "Update" into "Help" dropdown menu, where the user can start initialize the update manually if the user has cancelled the on-startup of LENS pop-up option for update.
  2. A new view about the update installation progress (e.g. progress bar) as well as a notification view (e.g. pop-up) about the update installation result (e.g. <version> has been successfully installed).

Why is this needed:

  1. The user must force the start of LENS application if he wants to update, there is no option to do it later while using the application itself.
  2. The user is not aware of the update installation progress / result.
