"An unexpected error occurred"

I just upgraded to Cloudash 1.6.2, went through the AWS SSO dance and now whenever I open the app it shows this.

CleanShot 2022-01-18 at 14 01 58@2x

If I do View >> Reload then the message disappears but is still just an empty screen:

Are there some caches that I should clear or something?

An unexpected error has occurred.

That's all the screen is showing. Version 1.6.2. It was working earlier today. I did not change AWS profiles. I used aws access keys as env vars on a terminal once.

Tried to reload, but just got a blank screen.

When I quit and restart I see a loading indicator for a second, and then it's back to "An unexpected error has occurred".

I backed up the config again, and copied the license key to create a new config. Workaround works for now. Do you want me to mail you my config so you can investigate that further?

That would be perfect.

An unexpected error has occurred.

Backed up the config with mv config.json backup-config.json.

Starting Cloudash then works fine and it asks me for the license key.

Restored the config with mv backup-config.json config.json.

Same error then happens again.

Can you try backing up the config file and remove it? The configuration file is stored in /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Cloudash/config.json. Then bringing it back and see if it works?

The configuration file is stored in /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Cloudash/config.json. As a last resort you could try copying and deleting it.

Hey @mthenw , it's running from Applications folder. I tried deleting and reinstalling but still the same issue.

Is there a cache I can clear?

Looks like it might be related to the fact that you run Cloudash from outside /Applications folder. Could you move it there and try again?

Feature Request: Show metric values for single lambda

Thanks for reporting. That makes sense!

Feature Request: Show metric values for single lambda

I'd like to be able to see the Invocations and Error Rate over time for a single lambda function similar to how you can see it in the "Overview" at the top right now.

I think either on the detail screen of a lambda function would be nice, or give the ability to filter for a specific function in the Overview.

Feature request: create, update and delete SSM parameters (AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store)

This would be awesome, as it's just so much easier to manage params.

For example, Bref Dashboard also has this. Except for ssm abd SQS stats, Cloudash already offers everything I used from the bref dashboard.

Feature Request: Support AppSync logs

@paulswail this is definitely something we'd like to support further down the line - the next major release will feature API Gateway support, but sky is the limit!

Feature Request: Support AppSync logs

Thanks for reporting. This is a great idea! Once we have APIGW REST API support (in the making) we will look into that.

Feature Request: Support AppSync logs

My Serverless Framework stack has an AppSync API endpoint in it and it would be great to include its Log Group within Cloudash. Those pesky VTLs require more me to inspect the logs more than Lambda functions

Resizable left menu

When I use SAM (example on left in screenshot), my list of function names is easy to read. When I use CDK (example on right) the function names are incomprehensible. I assume this is because you are rendering a name based on aws:cloudformation:logical-id and CDK generates those. Maybe you could 1) check for a cloudash:name tag and use that if available or 2) fallback to the logical ID.

Additionally, it could be useful to have the sidebar resizable for these very long logical IDs.
