Build error: 'CodePush/Codepush.h' file not found from AppDelegate.m

Thanks so much for filing an issue or feature request! Please fill out the following (wherever relevant):

Steps to Reproduce

Followed this "Getting Started" part strictly. But Xcode gives error:

Build error: 'CodePush/Codepush.h' file not found from AppDelegate.m

Seems when I added the package with yarn add react-native-code-push, auto linking didn't work. Had to manually add pod 'CodePush', :path => '../node_modules/react-native-code-push' to Podfile.

Environment

  • react-native-code-push version: 6.4.0
  • react-native version: 0.63.3
  • iOS/Android/Windows version: ios 14.2 (Xcode 12.2)
  • Does this reproduce on a debug build or release build? debug build
  • Does this reproduce on a simulator, or only on a physical device? simulator

(The more info the faster we will be able to address it!)

Well, that´s the second time I tried to finish one of my classes and I have this message telling me that the debugger won´t work. I would like to know what version of Visual Studio Code I could install on my machine so I do not have this kind of issue.

Generating more than 3 import suggestions?

When I am using something that hasn't been imported, Omnisharp correctly suggests things to import, but some things are not in the list. It seems it cuts off the amount of suggestions at around 3 suggestions.

Can someone verify this? And is this something that can be changed?

Omnisharp fails to start spaces in path to VS Code extension dir

Issue Description

Hi, I'm seeing an issue when running OmniSharp in VS Code on my mac. Omnisharp fails to start up as the full path to the extension contains a space (the space is in my home directory name, which was done by a migration from a previous mac).

See omnisharp log for the full output, but on startup it looks like it's trying to run chmod /Users/JSkinner 1/.vscode/extensions/ms-vscode.csharp-1.21.12/.omnisharp/1.34.13/run without quoting the path, causing the command to fail (note "JSkinner 1" is the home dir, with the space).

Is there any way I can work around this?

Thanks!

[Feature] Fix all eslint issues in the code

🚀 Feature request

We have some linting warnings in the repo. I think it makes sense to fix them all and also synchronize eslint rules with Prettier in order to make autofix scripts work together.

What scenarios will this solve?

This will help to bring the code to a single style, and fix some style problems. This will improve maintainability and readability.

What are all the possible domains CodePush may make requests to?

You’re right. I was still new to RN/XCode at the time. I realized some time after this config was not required. I guess it can be removed from the docs with no problems.

On Tue, Nov 24, 2020 at 12:59 uripre notifications@github.com wrote:

@almirfilho https://github.com/almirfilho I saw your contribution in the docs, thank you for that.

However, I don't think the scenario you described requires anyone to customize ATS for CodePush's domains. Could you maybe help me understand your reasoning?

I presume those requests follow proper SSL standards and therefore should have no problem with regular ATS restrictions. The only reason I can think of is if someone decided to disable ATS altogether, and then would like to reactivate ATS for CodePush's domains, but that doesn't seem to be the scenario you described above. In the general recommended case you described where NSAllowsArbitraryLoads is false - I don't think anyone need to customize anything.

If you could help me clarify this point, I will surely try improve the docs accordingly. Thanks!!!

Update Disqus

There are ads appearing at the bottom of pages, which seem to be coming from Disqus and it being a "Basic" plan, which includes ads

Here is the page that actually loads the Disqus content

Options

  1. Update the Disqus plan

or

  1. Someone could just go and remove the disqus "include" from the main layout (default.html), all ads and forum features will disappear

Indenting multiple lines inside of an "if" block, and intenting pasted code.

@HubKing VS Code has a editor.formatOnPaste setting. Do you see the expected result when that setting is enabled?

That setting worked on a C project, but not on a C# project. Anyway, I think the main cause of this is that when inserting multiple lines by pressing enter, automatic indentation works only for the first enter, and all subsequent lines have no indentation. Is this VS Code's problem?

What are all the possible domains CodePush may make requests to?

@almirfilho I saw your contribution in the docs, thank you for that.

Thanks!!!

ignore or Specify Properties/launchSettings.json setting

Recognized the behaviour which @MikaelElkiaer described today when opening a vs2019 project in vs code. Colleagues are using launchSettings.json to have env variable sets for different environments & a local debug stack. If ran in VScode, the first profile is used. Best solution to this would be: Be able to specify the launchSettings.json profile to use for a vscode launch configuration

But I'd also be fine with an Option to fully ignore the launchSettings.json (so I would be able to create the profiles I need myself in launch.json)

My current workaround: Deleting the launchSettings.json in my local copy and taking care I do not commit that deletion ...

Have you tried to edit launch.json by adding --launch-profile "SampleApp" to args section? In this case will it regard to the launch profile?
